This is a Japanese-style house standing at the foot of a mountain, with a 6DK layout. Around 2021 (Reiwa 3), the interior and roof were renovated at a cost of about 3 million yen. The owner is now relocating to Nara Prefecture for personal reasons and cannot make use of the property. It is a shame to part with it, but the owner hopes someone will make good use of it. The interior was renovated by the owner (self-renovation), but the roof leak repair was done by a professional contractor, so you can buy with peace of mind. The photos were taken while the owner was living there; most of the furniture has already been removed. The owner currently lives in Nara, so buyers will need to view the property on their own.
Layout:
To the left of the entrance is a row of three connected Japanese-style rooms. It is a well-ventilated space with an engawa (veranda) on two sides, the garden side and the rear side. The garden-side room has tatami flooring and an irori (sunken hearth) that the owner built. An iron hearth made by an acquaintance's ironworks is set into it, and of course proper insulation and similar work has been carried out. The rear room has a wooden floor and also serves as the passage to the bathroom and toilet. To the right of the entrance is a private 4-tatami-mat Western-style room, and straight ahead from the entrance is the DK (dining kitchen). Beyond the DK there is also a reasonably sized earthen-floor (doma) space. The second floor has connected Japanese-style rooms of 6 and 9 tatami mats. The 6-mat room has a wooden floor and is one step lower, so even with the sliding doors removed, the space can be divided and used in different ways. There is also an old storage shed behind the house for storing outdoor tools and similar items.

The land has a height difference of about 8 m between the entrance from the road in front and the elevated ground where the house stands. You climb a sloping path from the entrance to reach the house. The area around the house is flat, but the surrounding land is sloped. Trees grow around the house, giving it the feel of a hideaway in the forest.
Surroundings:
The property is in a peaceful hamlet surrounded by mountains and farmland. Misaki Town is located in roughly the center of Okayama Prefecture, to the south of Tsuyama City, the main city of the northern part of the prefecture. About 60% of the total area is forest. Two of the prefecture's three major rivers flow through the town, the Yoshii River to the east and the Asahi River to the west, and in the central area there are rice terraces selected as one of the "100 Best Terraced Rice Fields of Japan" and other rich rural scenery. The property is currently rented out. It can be handed over within six months of the contract being concluded.

令和3年頃に室内と屋根を300万円ほどかけてリフォームした山すそに立っている日本家屋で、間取りは6DKです。現在都合で奈良県に引っ越すことになり、活用できそうもないのでもったいないですが、どなたかに使っていただきたいです。室内はセルフリフォームですが、屋根の雨漏りは業者に頼んでやってもらいましたので安心です。写真は居住していた時の写真です、家具はほとんど持ち出し済みです。現在自分は奈良に住んでいるのでご自身で見学していただく必要があります。
玄関を入り左手には和室3間の続き間があります。庭側と奥側の二方向に縁側がついている風通しのよい空間です。庭側の部屋は畳敷きで囲炉裏を作りました。知り合いの鉄工所で作ってもらった鉄炉をはめ込んであります、もちろん断熱などもしっかり施工しています。奥側の部屋は板敷きです。浴室、トイレへの動線にもなっています。玄関右手には個室の洋室4畳、玄関正面にはDKがあります。DKのさらに奥には程よい広さの土間スペースもついています。2階は和室6畳と9畳の続き間です。6畳の部屋は板敷きで一段下がっていますので建具を外していても空間の使い分けができますよ。また、家の裏手には古い物置があり屋外用の道具類なども収納できます。
敷地は、前面道路に接している進入口からお家のある高台まで約8m程の高低差がある地形です。進入口から坂道を上ると家があります。家周辺は平坦ですが、その周囲の土地は傾斜地になっています。家を囲むように木々が生えており森の中の隠れ家のような雰囲気です。
周辺は山と農地に囲まれたのどかな集落です。岡山県のほぼ中央部に位置する美咲町は、県北部の中心都市である津山市の南部に位置します。総面積の約6割を山林が占め、東に吉井川、西に旭川の県下3大河川の2河川が流れ、中央部には「日本の棚田百選」にも選ばれた棚田など田園風景がいっぱいの自然豊かなまちです。現在賃貸中です。成約から半年以内にはお引き渡しできます。よろしくお願いします。
