Located close to the border with Aomori Prefecture, this mountain village sits in a gently sloping bowl-shaped landscape yet receives little snowfall, making it easy to live in. There are three houses in the area, including those of people who moved here several decades ago. It is a peaceful setting surrounded by nature.
The property has been vacant since 2020, but it has been looked after and no repairs are currently needed. The main house was built with traditional timber-frame construction. It has a spacious layout and sturdy structure, and can be comfortable in summer even without air conditioning. In winter, the wood stove heats the house quickly, and five years' worth of firewood has already been secured. Large furniture and furnishings can be used as they are (unwanted items have already been disposed of). Some farm tools used in agriculture have been left as they were in the barn and part of the drying shed.
