Description
A traditional kominka with old-style beams and an earthen-floor entrance (doma), ready to be worked on and lived in for years to come.
This kominka, built in 1974, sits quietly on high ground at the far end of a village, where you can hear the murmur of the Ukan River.
The main house is a calm, traditional home centered on Japanese-style tatami rooms.
Daily water comes from a well. A pump motor is installed, but we recommend having it serviced before use.
(Public water: the main line runs to the road in front of the property and can be connected with installation work, but the construction cost is separate.)
There are three toilets. Only the one near the first-floor bathroom of the main house is a flush toilet (septic tank). The others are vault (pit) toilets.
The barn has an earthen-floor area and a tatami room on the first floor, and on the second floor a characterful wooden-floored space with exposed beams. It also has a shutter, making it useful for storing farm equipment and firewood, or as a workshop.
The house has been vacant for a long time, and both the main house and the barn show deterioration from age. However, you can gradually do the work yourself and shape it into your ideal home.
A rice field of about 203 tsubo is a 2-minute walk west of the residential lot and is currently being cultivated. Another field of about 375 tsubo, a 2-minute walk to the north, is currently lying fallow, but offers the enjoyment of reclaiming and cultivating it yourself.
The Miyaseguchi bus stop is a 7-minute walk away, and the Okayama Expressway (Kaga IC) is about 14 minutes by car, so even in this quiet setting, daily transport is well supported.
This property comes with farmland.
