Description
A house built by the seller's grandfather about 50 years ago. After the grandfather passed away, the grandmother lived here, but she is elderly and can no longer live alone, so the family is considering selling. Even people in the construction trade have praised it as a fine house, but real estate companies declined to handle it, perhaps because of the location, so it is being listed on this site.
The grandfather was very particular about the house. It has an entrance with a high ceiling, and the large garden has stone steps and bonsai trees. It was beautiful in the past, but it has not been maintained for several years, so it is in the condition shown in the photos. There are cracks from the Niigata earthquake in the entrance and part of the bathroom (no water leaks), but the building as a whole is still in fairly good condition.
There are no particular problems with rain leaks, sagging floors, plumbing, water pressure or the water heater. The toilet is a flush toilet (repaired once). The ventilation fans and similar items need cleaning. The bathroom is of old-fashioned construction (on close inspection there is mold that cleaning cannot fully remove). Several air conditioners are included (working without problems) and will be left with the house. There are several large pieces of furniture such as chests of drawers. Small items have been cleared out, but the seller would prefer a buyer who is willing to take the house with its furniture.
The sea is a 5-minute drive away, and the area is rich in nature, including Atsumi Onsen, a hot spring with a history of 1,200 years. There is a popular public bath nearby.
The seller is currently clearing out the house and changing the registered ownership, so the property can be handed over from October onward. The parents (sellers) live in Saitama, so a viewing may be possible if schedules match when they travel to Yamagata to clear out the house.

50年程前に祖父が建てた家です。祖父が亡くなった後、祖母が住んでおりましたが、高齢の為一人では住めなくなった為、売却を検討しております。建築関係の方にも立派な家だと褒められましたが、立地のせいか不動産会社には断られてしまい、こちらのサイトの掲載に至りました。
祖父の家に対するこだわりが強く、天井の高い玄関や、広い庭には石段や盆栽などもあります。昔は綺麗でしたが、数年手入れをしてない為、写真のような状態です。新潟地震の際のひび割れが、玄関とお風呂場の一部にありますが、（水漏れなどはなし）建物全体的にまだまだ綺麗な状態かと思います。
雨漏りや床のたわみ、水回り、水圧、給湯器などは特に問題ありません。トイレは水洗式です（一度修繕済み）。換気扇などは掃除必要です。お風呂場は昔ながらの造りです（よく見ると掃除では取りきれないカビあり）。エアコン数台あり（稼働問題なし）、 お譲りします。大きなタンスなど複数あり、細かな物は片付けておりますが、できれば家具ごと貰っていただける方を優先したいと思っております。
海まで車で5分、開湯1,200年の歴史を持つ「あつみ温泉」などもあり、とても自然豊かな地域です。近くに人気の共同浴場があります。
現在、家の中の片付けや名義変更最中のため、お譲りできるのは10月以降になります。親（売主）は埼玉に住んでいるため、家の片付けで山形へ行く際、日程が合えば内覧可能です。
