Selling to someone who will renovate and use the house or relocate here, in order to help preserve the hillside scenery of Onomichi.
Background:
More than 50 years ago, the seller's parents bought one unit of a four-unit rowhouse (nagaya), and later added a veranda and renovated the bath while living there. After the father passed away, the mother lived alone until, more than 10 years ago, she fell ill and moved into a care facility, leaving the house vacant. The seller has been sorting through the remaining belongings little by little, but the refrigerator, washing machine and large furniture remain. The house is vacant, so there is no problem with handover. However, the seller lives in Tokyo, so scheduling a viewing on site may take some time.
The property cannot be rebuilt on (rebuilding not allowed), and if the building is demolished the land would likely have no practical use. Location:
The property is on the eastern hillside of Senkoji-yama, not the southern side that overlooks the Onomichi Channel. Therefore the windows do not offer the postcard-style view of the channel and bridge. However, if you climb the mountain path you reach the Literary Path (Bungaku no Komichi), and if you walk down the slope and head south along Nagae-dori you reach a shopping street, so inconvenience as a guesthouse or a place to live is expected to be small.

約50年以上前、両親が4軒長屋の1軒を購入し、その後にベランダの増築とお風呂のリフォームを行って住んでいました。父が亡くなった後、10数年前に一人暮しだった母が体を壊して施設入居したため、空き家となりました。すこしずつ残置物を整理していましたが、冷蔵庫・洗濯機・大物家具などが残っています。建物は、空き家状態のため引き渡しについての問題は無いのですが、私が都内在住のため現地見学などのスケジュール調整に時間がかかる可能姓があります。建物の場所は再建築不可であり、解体したら土地は使い道が無くなりそうです。尾道の山間部に民家が多い風景を守るためにも、リフォームして民泊活用、あるいは、移住して住みたい方にお譲りしたいと思っています。
建物は、元4軒長屋ですが、右側2軒は解体済みであり、左2軒が残っており、その右側が販売物件となります。なお左隣の建物も空き家となっていて、所有者との連絡はとれています。そのため、残っている建物2軒をまとめての売却も可能と思われます。また、右側1軒分の解体済みの空き地（残置物アリ）所有者とはまだ連絡ができていませんが、うまく話がまとまれば、長屋2軒分＆庭付きの物件にできる可能性があります。なお、自宅後ろの斜面に大木があり、その落ち葉が樋を詰まらせた影響で、台所の天井に雨漏りが発生し、天板が落ちています。下水の関係からトイレは汲み取りとなっています。畳を歩くと、ふわふわ感があります。背面が崖・登り斜面のため「土石流 特別警戒区域」に指定されています。
