This property is in Shimane Prefecture, home of Izumo Taisha.
I bought it from the previous owner in April 2023. Work already completed includes roof renovation of the kominka (traditional farmhouse), installation of a prefab unit bath, and new flooring in some rooms. I lived here until June 2025, but because of my job it is now vacant. I look after it once or twice a month, but since I live far away I have decided to sell.
The property comes with farmland, mountain forest and miscellaneous land. The beams of the kominka are exceptional, unlike those in other houses. A two-storey extension is attached to the kominka, giving the property many rooms. The location has good views and is close to schools, public facilities, a bank, convenience stores, supermarkets and a farmers' produce market.
Other buildings include a storehouse-garage (kura) with a second floor, and the two-storey extension connected to the kominka. The downsides: this two-storey extension has not been renovated, and in particular its roof repairs have not been touched. There is also a possibility of rain leaks in the roof of the two-storey extension. This is unconfirmed, but there may be leaks or displaced roof tiles. For this reason the property is listed at a discounted price of 5 million yen. The price is not negotiable.
However, it is convenient because you can live in the kominka section while renovating the extension. There is a disused well on the grounds. Its water source is on the neighboring house's adjoining land. It is said to be filled in at present.

出雲大社のある島根県の物件です。2023年4月に前オ－ナーさんから購入し、古民家の屋根の改修工事、ユニットバスの設置、一部部屋の床張り等の工事済みです。2025年6月迄住んでおりましたが、仕事の都合により、現在、空き家になっていますが、月に1，2度管理していますが遠方の為売却することに致しました。
山林、雑地の他、農地付き物件です。古民家の梁が他の家ではない位素晴らしいです。そして、古民家続きの増築2階建てが付いた物件で部屋数が多く、学校、公共施設、銀行、コンビニやス－パー、産直が近く見晴らしの良い立地です。
その他の建て物として、2階部分がある蔵車庫、古民家と繋がる2階建築があります。イマイチな所は、この2階建築部分が未改装、特に屋根の修理が手つかずのままです。、また、2階増築建築物の屋根に雨漏りの可能性があります。未確認ですが、雨漏り又は瓦のズレの可能性があります。その為、お値引きした価格500万にて掲載させて頂いています。価格交渉不可物件になります。
