Purchased several years ago with the intention of using it as a future holiday home, and renovated.
Because the building had deteriorated with age when it was purchased, large-scale renovation work was carried out. The previous owner appears to have built it with great care, and the basic structure is solid. As you can see from the photos, the walls of the first-floor living room are paneled in wood. This is said to be local Hannō cedar.
Renovation history and overview since purchase: full repainting of the exterior walls and complete re-roofing (both using highly durable materials), new water heater, new washstand vanity, repair of the kitchen sink area, new wallpaper in all rooms except the living room, anti-insect treatment under the floor, partial ceiling work, floor joist reinforcement, complete replacement of the first-floor living room flooring, replacement of the entrance step (agarikamachi), replacement of the sunroom and all window screens, replacement and new installation of air conditioners in all rooms, and more.
The property is located in a beautiful, nature-rich setting. As you can see from the photos, a small mountain stream flows below the property. Steps have been built so you can go down to the stream directly from the property. It is no exaggeration to call it a "private stream" for residents only. The previous owner apparently had a special attachment to the stream and went to the trouble of placing garden-style stones to shape the flow of the water. 購入時からのリフォーム履歴と概要は以下になります。外壁全面塗り替え、屋根全面葺き替え（いずれも高耐久性のもの）、給湯器を新規に交換、洗面化粧台を新規に交換、キッチンシンク部を修繕、リビングを除くすべての部屋のクロス張り替え、床下防虫工事、一部天井施工工事、床根太補強工事、1階リビング床、フローリング全面張り替え、玄関框交換工事、サンルーム及び全室網戸交換、全部屋エアコン交換及び新規に設置、他です。
