Description
Sold as a land parcel with an old house (as-is condition). The building cannot be lived in as it stands, and the house will need to be demolished.
I bought this house several years ago and lived in it while renovating, until we moved into our current home. The plan was to eventually rebuild and make it our final residence. I loved the environment, but our child was bullied and never settled in at school afterwards, so we have since built a new home in a different area. Because it was such a painful and upsetting experience, I left the property untouched. I had intended to keep it as something to look forward to when our child became independent, but my child said it brings back memories and they dislike it, so I decided to sell.
The land has an outstanding environment. I have heard that the family of a Shinto shrine priest originally lived here. I will clear away some of the belongings, but the property is basically sold as-is, to whoever will buy it at the highest price.
It is a corner lot in Honcho, a few minutes from the station. Across a small stream beside the house is the town swimming pool. The nearest house is about 30-40 m away, so noise complaints should not be an issue.
It would suit people who want a workshop or enjoy renovating, a share house, or a private campsite, since the garden is large. We spent about 1 million yen installing a fence and kept a large dog here. Half of the garden was used as a dog run, but because of the town's riverbank construction work, the current dog run can no longer be used. The fence would need to be re-erected to use it. The wooden fence has also been damaged by heavy snow. The previous resident enjoyed gardening and, shortly before we took over, replaced the soil around the house to a depth of about 60 cm with black soil. In the half of the land that is not the dog run, you will find good clean soil if you dig. There is also a large storage shed, so it should suit anyone who wants a home vegetable garden. From Yuni Station you can reach Tomakomai in about an hour, so you can ride the train at a relaxed pace and easily go out for fresh seafood, which is a real attraction. The only downside I can think of is that the house cannot be lived in as it is and needs repairs.
[Added May 2022]
Because of the town's riverbank construction, the current dog run can no longer be used (the fence would need to be re-erected). The wooden fence has also been damaged by heavy snow, but it will be handed over as-is. The building needs large-scale work and cannot be used as it is.

* The building needs large-scale work and cannot be used as it is. The house needs to be demolished.
* Please do not visit the house or enter the property without permission, as it would disturb the neighbors. There are a nursery school and kindergarten nearby, and police cars patrol the area frequently. Anyone entering the property without permission will be reported for trespassing.
* This is land with an old house. I will not sell to anyone who wants to use it as a residence or for vacation-rental (minpaku) purposes. In principle I will not negotiate on price.
