I originally planned to make a simple overnight stay space, so I placed a prefab shed on the land and had electricity connected. In the end I never made use of it that way, and at present (since Fukuoka Airport is nearby) I only use it to park my car during long overseas business trips. *Even the airport's international terminal parking lot costs 1,000 yen per day, so over 30 days I save 30,000 yen, which has been a great help. It would also be an ideal secret hideout for tinkering with motorcycles (the access road is no problem for that). The possible uses are endless. It could also be used for a home vegetable garden.
I have heard that building a house here is possible, but please confirm the details yourself by contacting Shime Town Office. Public water supply has been brought to the land, but only as exposed piping, so the buyer will need to install a water meter box. Public sewerage has already been connected.
Shime is a very popular town, and many new houses are currently being built in the surrounding area. The land faces a town road, but the drawback is that the access road is narrow. In my case, I can drive onto the land with ease in either a Suzuki Jimny 4WD or a 4WD kei truck, but I think it would be difficult for anyone who is not an exceptionally skilled driver. *Please assume that vehicle access is basically not possible.
